Message Hey whats up guys, me and a friend just got done swapping a 95 jdm replacement in his tt. He bought it locally from a guy who compression tested it right in front of us before he bought it. Showed 150+ psi on all cylinders during the cold test. We stripped down the motor and replaced a lot of things including the timing kit. Was an auto so we threw his turbos and After we got the motor in and hooked up it ran good and we got the timing set at 15.

It only builds 10psi until about 5k rpm where it will then build 15-16 with boost jets in place. Obviously the first thing we thought was boost leak. Tested it and cannot get and pressure to build at all in the system and am having a very hard time finding out where its leaking from.

Another problem is the sound, around 4k or so it sounds really raspy not like it used to he swears. We had to set the cas a little further to the left then his old motor to get it to 15. Does this sound like it possibly jumped a tooth? Car runs good just doesnt pull as hard and sounds different.

We spent hours trying to find the boost leak with no success, so im turning to you guys for new idea's! Big thanks to anyone who can help some z guys out!
